JOIN OUR HP FAMILY
We’re growing and we’d like someone special to join our unique, quirky team at the Home Partnership. We’re a big family and we’re looking for a motivated sales consultant to join the team in our Chelmsford branch.
You’ll need to shine in viewing appointments, because that’s where we’re different; we care and really want to help the people we work with— it’s much, much more than a transaction to us. So it’s important to us that whoever fills this role will have excellent communication skills and will give helpful and thorough feedback to clients; someone who will ace negotiating and agreeing sales as well as sales progression, valuing and winning new business opportunities, including mortgage referrals to our in-house team.
Our ideal new team member will have a minimum of 2 years industry experience including listing and valuing. We have a smart/casual dress code so you should be open to smartening up your wardrobe; you should also be filled to the brim with common sense, be great on the phone and even better face-to-face. We’d love someone who is as passionate about their job as we all are here and who is absolutely obsessed with exceeding client’s expectations.
Genuine career progression opportunities for the best people.

Spring is just around the corner now and causing a stir of anticipation amongst buyers and sellers alike. All those sellers who have been holding off selling until Spring as feel their house will view better with the grass greener and the sky bluer are making tentative enquiries about whether now is a good time to sell. All the buyers who have patiently waited throughout the Winter months for their dream home to appear on the market excitedly tapping ‘within the last 24 hours’ on their chosen property portal hoping it will be there – we would urge these buyers to call us and let us know they are there!
The Home Partnership have put together a few suggestions on how as a seller you can make your home stand out from the others about to hit the market.
Yellow is the colour that seemingly induces the buying emotion, how many of us have popped daffodil stems into our trolleys whilst doing the weekly shop these last couple of weeks and enjoyed the flash of colour that appears the next day? We are not suggesting you paint your house yellow of course but subtle injections of Spring colours around your home can make all the difference.
De cluttering is essential to show space in a home, all the gadgets on your kitchen worktop that are colour coordinated, if you haven’t used them in a year, you don’t need them, pack them away to show a spacious, useable work surface – think of it as the start of packing up for your own move. Kitchens and bathrooms are the most scrutinised by most buyers today.
Buyers will look in cupboards and open drawers, if you know a drawer cover falls off or a cupboard door drops every time it’s opened now is the time to get is fixed. We have a list of helpful, reliable and friendly contractors - just ask!
Finally, put yourself in a buyer’s shoes and look at your house from the front and the approach to your front door. All too often a buyer calls to cancel a viewing as they have viewed from the outside and been put off by the exterior and will never see all the hard work you have put in improving and brightening the interior. Cut back all plants and bushes around the entrance, ensure the path or drive is free of weeds, make your house name or number clearly visible and if the letterbox is hanging off or missing replace or repair it and ensure your front door is inviting. If a buyer feels you do not maintain the front of the property they may see this as a reflection on how the interior will look.
Most of these points are inexpensive and simply require your time which could make the difference in a buyer choosing your home over another.
